More About Me
I was born and raised in a small town north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After attending college in Virginia, I couldn’t let the mountains go. So, after graduating, I traveled for several months before moving to Golden, Colorado. Prior to moving to Golden, I lived in Phoenix, Arizona for a little over one year.
In Phoenix, I worked and lived in a shelter for pregnant women experiencing homelessness. During those months, I had the privilege of learning these women’s stories and standing alongside them during their pregnancy and labor journeys. Not one story was the same; each pregnancy and birth was unique.
Being surrounded by these strong women for over a year is what drew me to becoming a doula. I got to not only support moms during early labor, but I continually supported them once returning home. Starting life with a newborn is an adventure and one I am glad I got to be a part of for these women. I hope I get to be a part of your story as you bring a miracle into this world.
